In 2014, Synergy’s sister company was contracted by the United Nations to provide operations and maintenance of facilities at the UNOCA Complex in Kabul totaling an area of 58,000 square meters. To perform these services, the companies’ shared HR staff recruited, vetted, and hired a complete local national workforce of various skill levels. Additionally, the contract requires the supply of equipment, materials and supplies on a regular basis. Procurement personnel source these items, and ensure that the supply chain is adequate to ensure timely delivery of necessary consumables. Warehousing staff were also hired to manage the storage of these items, while transportation of goods and personnel (to their worksite) are additionally provided.
